ESTABLISHED EXPERTISE IN BATON ROUGE

Meet Dr. Stephen Zobrist: Baton Rouge's Denture Expert and Former Denture Lab Owner.

Since 1996, Dr. Stephen Zobrist has brought a rare perspective to restorative dentistry. His career began by taking over a full-service denture clinic and in-house lab in Denham Springs, LA. Over the years, “Dr. Z” (as his patients call him) gained a profound, hands-on understanding of the difficulties denture wearers experience.

Next he spent 15 years practicing in Mississippi, then he returned to Baton Rouge and accepted a position at one of the “big box” denture clinics. He lasted exactly one month. Seeing firsthand how poorly the corporate model served patients, Dr. Z left to start a practice where he could do things his own way.

“People don’t know what they don’t know,” says Dr. Zobrist. “They end up at the big box clinics, and often come to me to get it fixed. We are able to help people with dentures in ways that others can’t.”

Today, Dr. Z combines 30 years of lab expertise with state-of-the-art digital scanning. When it comes to your smile, you aren’t just a patient on an assembly line; you’re benefiting from a doctor who knows dentures from the inside out.

THE DIGITAL ADVANTAGE

Why Choose Custom Digital Dentures?

Say Goodbye to Gooey Molds

No more choking on messy putty. We use advanced 3D intraoral wands to take a highly accurate digital scan of your mouth in minutes. It is fast, clean, and completely comfortable.

The "Test Drive" Prototype

We don't rely on guesswork. You receive a physical, 3D-printed prototype of your new smile to wear home for weeks. Test the look, fit, and feel in the real world before your final dentures are ever crafted.

Permanent Digital Records

What happens if the dog chews your dentures or you lose them on vacation? Because your smile is designed digitally, your file is saved forever. We can craft a perfect, exact duplicate without starting over.

we’re here to answer all your questions

A: Digital dentures are ideal for anyone who needs complete or partial dentures for the first time, as well as those looking to replace older, uncomfortable dentures that slip or cause sore spots. Because our digital scanning process is incredibly precise, we can create a superior, custom fit for almost any patient. A brief consultation with Dr. Zobrist is the best way to determine if this modern approach is right for your specific smile.

A: Absolutely. For many patients, the traditional “gooey” impression putty is the worst part of getting dentures because it can trigger a strong gag reflex. Our advanced 3D scanner simply glides around your mouth, taking thousands of pictures to create a perfect digital model. It’s cleaner, incredibly comfortable, and far more accurate. Plus, your 3D scan is saved securely on file—meaning if you ever lose or break your dentures, we can easily craft an exact duplicate without starting from scratch!

A: One of the biggest advantages of digital dentures is efficiency. Because we bypass the messy traditional molds and send accurate 3D data straight to the lab, the entire process generally requires fewer visits to our office. While exact timelines vary depending on your specific needs, the digital workflow allows us to design, craft, and deliver your comfortable new smile noticeably faster—and with far greater accuracy—than older methods.

A: Every dental insurance plan is different, but many do provide coverage for a portion of denture treatments, regardless of the technology used to make them. Our friendly front office team is highly experienced in maximizing your benefits. We will happily verify your specific insurance plan and provide a clear, transparent breakdown of any out-of-pocket costs before we begin your custom digital denture process.
